Check out J&M tackle they'll have live shrimp and can hook you up, or make you a Yabby pump and catch Ghost shrimp on the beach.

REALLY? Wasn’t expecting redfish and/or trout! Was going to hit it at sunrise just for a couple hours at most.
yes, a few escaped the barrier wall that was supposed to keep them contained to LA
I've heard crab and shrimp have even been spotted in FL waters in recent years, dang invasive species.

And once I catch these sand fleas do I either put them 3 ft under a popping cork or on bottom Carolina rigging?
I always put them on the bottom
I set up a rod/reel on the beach, last time I was there I caught 5 pompano and we had them for dinner one night.

Heading to OB in a couple weeks and staying at Caribe. Thinking of walking across street and doing a little fishing under the Pass bridge early in the am before the crowds show up. Anyone ever do this and any tips? I know and don’t expect anything like fishing GI but just looking for a little fun with my two boys.
staying at caribe fish caribe... under bridge gets crowded at night not in the day.....
plenty reds and doormat flounder by caribe....... very few specks in that bay.....

I'll be down there next week for the week. Thought about bringing my pole for some beach Pompano. Late afternoon chilling in a chair with a cold beer. Watch my kids play and the sun set. Pole at my side as a bonus.
What is the fishing license situation there?
