Reminds me of the fad a while back where hunters were taking chlorophyll tablets daily so they would smell like a herbivore. I wonder if that is still a thing. I never did it. Makes you pee green as i understand it.

Is this the unit that cycles on and off every 30 minutes or the 4 cycle unit?

Reminds me of how a deer will get scared if you make eye contact at close distances. Every predator has forward facing eyes to judge distance. So, in theory they can tell you are predator by your eye placement.

So I ran the OZ in my vehicles, and the results were interesting. It absolutely knocked out every odor that was in there. There was an old coffee cup, dirty socks, you name it. To my human nose, it was all neutralized. What that means for a deer's sense? I don't know. But I do know I'm going to at least run it in my vehicle and mount it above my head next time I hunt.

I'll report back after I use it hunting.

Size and cost I guess. Seems to be the same function.

My boys and I were invited to hunt a friends property this weekend. He put my son on a bow stand set up for a south wind. We had a north wind and I told him we didn't want to hunt this particular set up due to wind direction. He gave me one of the scentloc radials to use. My son killed a hog directly downwind at 20 yards. I'm convinced.

So I used the Scentlok thing Saturday evening.

It's quiet. Hardly noticeable.

It apparently worked. Sitting on the ground with a considerable amount of wind, I had it hanging from a branch on our downwind side. Had three deer that got downwind of us and didn't blow. Now, they could've smelled us I suppose and not blown, but I'm just reporting what happened.

I still need to see it work with deer all around in closer proximity.
