Ozark Howler is in fact a real animal the red wolf

Watching “mysterious creatures with Forrest Galante” which is a series I would highly recommend btw. He has a show where they are investigating the Ozark howler and after running into a moonshiner after almost getting eaten by a big black bear he conclusively proves that it’s in fact a red wolf. And they are back. zero doubt.

My son actually saw one about 10 years ago at our camp north of Vicksburg. He didn’t know anything about red wolves or their rarity but said he saw a big strange werewolf looking thing that smelled bad and picked it out of a game book as exactly the animal he saw. He also had some blurry but distinctive photographs he took with his phone camera. later we got some better ones on game cameras but it was definitely a big old red wolf, so hopefully they are more out there then people think.
