I just purchased a new cnc machine and am looking for recs on over ear hearing protection. I have been using foam plugs for running the planer and table saw but looking for something a little more comfortable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wear the 3m 105s everyday at work. They are heavier that some but comfortable and they work great.

Very durable.

3m offers a behind the neck pair I use at home. I wear boonies to do the yard, etc and traditional muffs go over you head.

I like them as well for home. They fit tight enough I don't have to worry about them slipping down.

Use Howard and Leight electronic for shooting / hunting. I like em because you can turn em on and hear normal conversation or off and they act like a traditional muff.

I just use the earmuffs they sell at Home Depot. Been using them for last 15 years without any issues.

Get the highest NRR (noise reduction rating) you can find. Highest I recall seeing is around 34-35.
