Outdoor Magazine Suggestions

Kind of random, but any recommendations from the board on good outdoor/sportsman magazines to subscribe to? I'm more interested in hunting related magazines, but open to ones that cover more areas. I used to be a big reader of Field & Stream and Deer & Deer Hunting magazines, but canceled several years ago. I'm looking to get back into reading outdoor magazines and also trying to spark an interest in it for my son as well.

I like the one from rmef called bugle and the tides one from cca. I opt in for the magazine when I renew rmef or cca, I also opt in when I buy a license in another state, it’s usually cheap and it’s cool to see what they are dealing with in Arizona or Wyoming. The photographs are also much better in those vs what you get in Mississippi outdoors or whatever they send with your license.

Field Ethos is really good.

Become a member of some sort of conservation group that had magazines. That way you’re supporting conservation and getting something to read.

Mossy oak makes a good one

Backcountry journal from BHA is usually good. Had a good read on a family of black houndsmen from the Arkansas delta earlier this year

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'll take a look into the different conservation groups and consider that route. I am familiar with BHA from listening to the Meateater podcast. That one definitely catches my eye.
I really enjoy having a paper copy versus digital. My son is still young, but I figure he'll be attracted to the pictures and start reading them with me as he gets a little older (might be wishful thinking).

What kind of content does Field Ethos touch on with each issue? I've heard of it, but I can't remember from where. I wasn't expecting to come across a conservation journal led by Trump Jr, but I also haven't been paying attention to the market in recent years.

Yeah I enjoy TIDE by CCA and the Delta Waterfowl magazines.
Other good fishing ones are Saltwater Sportsman or Florida Sportsman. Can't help much with the hunting ones.

It’s what sports afield, outdoor life, and Field and Stream wish they were.
The writers are free to write what they wish and not encumbered by editors.
Jim Zumbo has an article in this quarter’s magazine.
There is a q&a with him and one of the questions is how did you get hooked up with Field Ethos? His response:
“A friend told me about Field Ethos and asked me to write “the stories I can’t write anywhere else”. Edgy? You mean where I and write”frick” and “damn”? Love it. Seriously, there’s nothing like out there at the moment.”
