take vitamin c pills crtush them up in a bowl and add a little water to make a paste then rub on infected areas burns like hell but works wonders for me

THIS!!!!
I took a Wilderness Medicine class a month ago and we literally spent all day walking/running through poison ivy patches. At the end of the day we covered our skin with Zanfel really thoroughly and it worked, no itching or irritation at all.
It is expensive but it works.
