My son (18) has been in love w archery for about 8 years now. He's had Bear, Mathews and just recently bought a
Hoyt VMT-31. He's been a fan of the Tim Wells show and his Oneida Bow. Well I happen to have some amazing friends who not only are Oneida experts, but generous too. Here are some pics of the custom build and a short video of my son shooting it.
Much Love to these guys!!
The 80’s was wild!

A friend of mine had an Oneida. It was cool, and fast but loud as hell.

That’s cool. I want nothing to do with bows from the 80s.

One of my first compound bows was an Oneida Screaming Eagle… arguably the smoothest bow made, but loud AF. If hunting from a tree stand climber, be sure to stand up before shooting. I made the mistake of drawing and the bottom limb clipped the tree stand upon releasing the arrow. Sounded like a M80 going off in the woods. On a side note, Bow fisherman love Oneida bows.

BIL had one I thought was the coolest thing ever but if you didn’t have it tightened all the way down it sounded like a truck door slamming.

Late 80s early 90s one the guys at the camp who was one my my bow hunting mentors shot one and I wanted one so bad. One morning he came back to the camp and had a bruise on his whole thigh from trying to shoot and the limb smacked his leg.
