Anyone own one of these? I stopped by there today and met the owner. Looking for reviews.

I haven't stepped inside that place in 15 years - but from what I can remember - they were really good people.

I had a couple of rods fixed there and they worked just fine afterwards.

I can't seem to find a topwater rod that I like. He can build one to my specs for $200. I've never spent that much on a rod before. I'm debating it.

To have a "go to" rod it's worth it. And I too can say they're really good people.

What specs are you looking for?

Cabela’s

I have one of these that I have for topwater.

One of my friends started making rods himself. I’ve got a couple from him. He is generally less than $200. Both of the rods I got him to make have Winn grips.

DUCE

I have this exact same rod. It fits all of your characteristics. The 66 shows ML, but I can telly you from experience, it is more Medium, and has a quick tip. And its super light in weight. I have mine paired with a Lew's Tournament Lite (5.7 oz) and the entire set up is like 9oz. Price on that rod in store is usually $189

Cajun Customs makes a Savannah in 66 casting with a split grip as well, however, the tip isn't as quick if you are looking for a super fast tip. I use that rod for my Senkos and light Trigs for bass. Price on that one i believe was $160.

I didn't even consider Duce because it was a Medium Light and the line weight is only 6-12 lb.
