With the thumbhole. I had plans to buy my uncles gun but now he backs out on me. So I have to try and find my own.

Where are you located?

This Savage .17 HMR - $400 is available in store at several Academys near me (DFW area).

Why a 17hmr? IMO a 22mag is more useful.

I have that rifle in left hand. Great as long as there is no wind, would much prefer it was 22mag, I have not been able to come across one of those in LH.

The Mach 2 is more useful than both.

The .17hmrs are fun, but the only thing I have used them for much is shooting at carpenter bees. I don't know if I actually ever hit any of them though, they just disappear. If I had a good place to shoot pigeons or blackbirds, they would probably be great for that.

I bought a CZ 455 17hmr for my uncle, it doesn't have a thumb hole stock it's a really accurate shooter though, he has mentioned wanting to sell it or trading it and putting that money towards an AR.

I have a Marlin bolt action 17. It’s a tac driver.

this is the stock I have

LINK

I think the rifle was about 400 and the stock 160
great combo and I like the thumb hole much more than I thought I would

Yep, it's an accurate round no doubt. I Have a CZ 452LH in 17hmr and the savage varmint rifle in LH .17hmr and they shoot lights out, but I kind of have to think up reasons to use them.

I’ll go shoot a doe behind the ear with mine every now and then.
