What about YJ vs TJ? I've been looking for a YJ Sahara but I've found a Sahara TJ in my price range. What do you think? I'm a fan of the square headlights but I hear that the coil springs are a better ride than the leaf springs.

Yeah it's basically do you want to pay for the comfort of coils. YJs are quite a bit cheaper but rougher ride

I've owned a YJ and my current TJ. And while the TJ still rides like a Jeep it isn't as rough as my old YJ was. Either with a 4.0 and a manual will last a long time.

After 2 tanks of no ethanol gas laced with sea foam I finally got my ole rusty 81 renegade running great!! The ole 6 cylinder with original carb is loving the gas that it was designed to use. Took a few tanks to flush out all the dregs in the tank but now she is running great. Though the gas is more expensive I get lots better mileage on it.

Duct tape or flex seal. Mine is only a few years old and I only run it about 6-8 months out of the year so it is holding up well. But you can usually tape off the inside if it is a small tear. If it is zipper issues I have no recommendations.

I need a new one. It's the original from 05. I punched a small hole in the back window with a box a few weeks ago and have it ductaped. The stitching around the bars are starting to leak now.

I'll probably flex seal it for the time being. Until I decide what I wanna do

It has served its purpose. The guy I bought mine from 5 years ago had just put the first soft top on it. Only had a hardtop for 8 years so the inside looks awesome. He could have saved his money. I sold it on Craigslist and put that towards my frameless one. I hated the frames. I can remove or install it by myself in under 10 minutes. Though most days I just roll down the windows and flip the front back.

What do you guys think of this YJ. It's not a Sahara but the color scheme is about the same. Plus it has A/C. Only downside is that it's a 4 cyl. Rio Grande.

I wouldn't pay more than 6 at most. You can find a YJ with the 6 that has upgraded axles, lockers and 37s for 6.

You could almost get a TJ (with same specs as the one you're looking at) for that price
