as far as know, you can, but only in an A2 front sight post with the bayonet lug configuration similar to this...

Always buy an Eotech if you have the choice. Only issue on them is battery life vs a red dot illuminator.

There's a reason basically every military unit that has the choice of anything uses them.

I have gone through every build and schematic book I own. I have scoured the interwebs looking for an answer.

I have no clue ... even with the quarter for comparison.

Boggles my mind.

Also look at the LP1 from Lead and Steel for same price range as the Holosun. Also has better design than the Holosun and similar Eotech durability, plus it has red dot tech, so battery life is phenomenal.

They're pretty new to the market but they are the closet thing I've seen to an Eotech, at way less $$.

I appreciate the help. It’s beyond weird. Oh well, I’ll go out some rounds through it this week probably and get the gas setback up and assuming it’s running fine let it ride.

Bought an AR chambered for 7.62x39 about 2 years ago. I’d like to convert to 6.5 Grendel, tell me all the parts I’ll need to make it happen. Thanks in advance.

Is that all I need for the conversion? Any recommendations on brand and barrel length. It will be used as a deer and pig rifle. Thanks again.

If it’s a standard lower that takes ar mags I would imagine all you need is a barrel.

yeah, the uppers should be interchangeable.

plus, you'll essentially have 2 rifles at that point. just swap them out when you feel like.

according to Pew Pew Tactical:

https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-6-5-grendel-uppers/

1. ACME Machine 18-inch Upper
2. Atheris Rifle Company 20-inch Upper
3. Grendel Hunter 20-inch Upper
4. Palmetto State Armory 6.5 Grendel 18-inch Upper
5. Sanders Armory 20-inch Upper

He's got groups shown for each in the above link. Make sure you get a dedicated bolt and charging handle with whichever upper you get.

Bolts are the same on a grendel and a 7.62x39.

I think you're saying he would be better off to have two, one for each, but just to be clear.

Generally, I don’t agree with that. They may be the same rim diameter, but if you are looking to get a modern 6.5 Grendel, face depth is going to be an issue.

Simply the best. You can catch the EXPS-3 on sale for $500 sometimes.
