10.5 minimum IMO. I’m going with BCM for my next pistolette/SBR

What's your price range?

BCM is great quality at a good price. They have a lot of options for complete 11.5" uppers in the $700-$800 range

LINK

Geissele sells the URGI in a 10.3 configuration, that will be a step up in cost, just under $1k

LINK

Noveske is a step up after that and they have a 10.5" in the $1,400 range

Like the lower

I have a few of them but I plan to build 2 for now. One with a 4" barrel .22lr and one with a 9" .22lr barrel. Plan to use a sig brace (or stock if I sbr) on a KNS buffer to sig adapter. Uppers are the right to bear arms 22/9mm slick side uppers.

What color did you cote it with?

Yea, it was cheap and somewhat fitting for a SBR hog gun lol.

That is Midnight Bronze, H-294Q. Very subtle with still having that custom look to it.

While I generally agree, the mk18 has killed a ton of people. I would say for cloners to keep doing their thing but 11.5 for people trying to build non clone guns.

I’ve been putting some rounds through my 12.5” mid length triarc and compared to my 10.5” mk18 I can feel a difference.

I need to put more through the triarc and 11.5” kac together to see if I really notice anything

Maybe they are about to open up the form 4 e files.

I need to get off my arse and sbr a cpl things I want before the wait gets back to stupid.

I don’t ha e any 556 under 11.5”. I almost got a classic psa 10.5” but the same day they just put the 11.5” version on. I always read to stick with 11.5 for best performance.

Well yeah, a mid-length system is significantly less abusive than a carbine system.

Straight from BCM: https://www.ar15.com/forums/industry/_Q__Why_BCM_chose_the_11_5_SBR_over_the_10_5_/138-174764/

So the company that doesn’t sell a 10.5” tells you the 11.5” is better and you believe them?

LMT, DD, Noveske, LWRC, etc all make a 10.5”.
Do you really think they would sell them if they couldn’t get them to run right?

ETA: I did a lot of research prior to building mine and also asked here. Propagandolf said to use a 10.5”.
