Stellite, Inconel and Stainless in that order. There is a new company using C300 maraging steel whihc looks pretty promising, we'll see how it plays out.

Do they have an adapter to fit the Q cans?

I don't know, he could probably make one if you wanted. I think he just made them for the more mass produced cans.

Q's Omega Mount just hit the site. It's called the Plan B. $150.

The instructions:

Plan-B™ mount to Omega

quote:

Refer to the Omega manual to remove their stupid mount.

Hand thread the Plan-B™ mount into the Omega. Take care not to cross thread it.

Torque Plan-B™ mount into Omega to approx 35 ft-lbs (according to SilencerCo Manual) using the tools provided with your Omega.

Oh goodness. Look at the launch video :rotflmao LINK

17-4 is a lot stronger than 316. 316 is often use in applications where corrosion resistance is important.

So, I got some guys at work trying to freak me out about this silencer and SBR stuff. There’s saying giving the gov’t all of my information and fingerprints is somehow handing over my rights as an American. More specifically, civil forfeiture and search and seizure without a warrant. How much of this is a myth and how much of it is true? I know I’m giving names and addresses along with fingerprints and a tax, but to my knowledge thats all included with the background check. What else am I missing? Am I really giving up anything?

Maybe, but between my TWIC card and my concealed license, uncle sam already has my info.

If the government decides they want to ghost you, or otherwise frick your world up, for whatever reason; they will easily be able to do it without the help of the NFA registry.

Sooooooo is it that bad? I have one and a 45k coming ng in at some point. Should I just thread my barrels to match those or use a mounting system?

I haven’t shot mine enough to have issues but I haven’t had much free time lately. If you don’t direct thread I would probably go with a non sico mount system. Dead air keymo, area 419, maybe the Q system if you think you want Q cans down the line.

I am debating just doing direct thread or one of those other systems. I have some ASR stuff now but I don’t want issues down the line and these others may save some weight.

I didn’t have any issues with the first several thousand rounds. Now I have issues with carbon lock, tube coming loose but not mount, and I can loosen it while the locking ring is engaged after an extended period of shooting. I was going to buy the Dead Air Mount for it until I saw the Plan B
