Larue dropped their triggers down to $99 for the slower shipping option.
Guess my cheap arse will pick one up this time.

I'm an idiot, meant Form 4. So in that case, Form 4 requests are also being processed almost six months to the day from the check being cashed if anyone was wondering

Since I could never find the $299 Marlin 1895 I picked up a couple of Anderson lowers from Primary Arms. I feel like I'm the only human that has never owned or handled an Anderson lower
One with integrated trigger guard and one without. I had a Magpul trigger guard, MOE grip, and a LPK sitting around. Threw in an Anderson buffer tube kit, a MFT minimalist stock, and a cheap $35 LPK into my Primary Arms order.
The LPK is interesting. It was more curiosity what you can actually get from a $35 LPK. Doesn't come with trigger guard or grip but I have plenty of A2's laying around and didn't need the trigger guard. The detents are make out of parkerized steel (they are magnetic). The safety selector is made from two pieces you have to screw together
I liberally applied blue locktite there. Trigger is a little gritty with a ton of creep. I've bought all my LPK's from a place in LaGrange, GA called Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Armory. Very knowledgebale guys, they make and sell great stuff. They sell great LPK's for $50. Can't tell the difference between their triggers and the ALG triggers I've tried. Very minimal to almost zero creep with zero grit with a very clean break. This is the first time I've owned or used a truly shitty AR trigger. Basically threw away $35. Stay far away from Primary Arm's Strike Industy LPK.
I'm planning two builds.
First is a 14.5" I'm going to pin and weld to 16". Based on a chrome lined 14.5" w/ FSB from DSA. I want this one set up more for CQB. Or at least as good of a setup I could make without going SBR and Suppressed. I don't own an AR with a FSB so this will be a first for me. I do have a Moe SL in the parts bucket and I'm planning on using it.
Next is a 6.5 Grendel based around the DoubleStar 16" 1:9 chrome lined barrel from J&T distributing. Seems like most every 6.5G barrel is a match type stainless steel barrel. I wanted a Nitride/Melonite or chrome lined barrel. Ain't looking for .5MOA I want practical accuracy out of this one that's easier to clean and maybe will take more rounds before going to crap as the stainless would.

You got approved?
My check cashed 3/9/16 and I still haven't been approved

Its all dependant on the Examiner you get. You may have gotten someone that spends more time on facebook at work than reviewing Form 4s

I wasn't, mine was cashed on the 20th. My buddy was, his was cashed on 3/6 and got it on 9/7

My checks were cashed on 05/12/2016. So, I am looking at November 12th?
The checks were Form 4 Trusts.

I highly vote against the 14.5" barrel.
Had one and since ARs are like legos it was a pita to change things.

I don't change things. If I want something different I build something new

Yeah I think it looks great. Prop did that for me. He does great work.

Just did a S&W M&P 22 pistol and a police 870 in the Magpul OD Green Monday, but we used duracoat. Really like how they turned out, incredibly easy to do it yourself. May send my lightweight build to Prop to ceracoat FDE one of these days

Thanks bro. I'm pretty excited about it. I appreciate all your help.
Came in at only 6.14 pounds. Not bad for a 18" Barrel and long arse rail like that I guess. I'm ready to start another one already but the wife wants curtains.

Excellent idea. It's always good meeting fellow enthusiasts.
