Looking at finishing one of my lowers and making a hog killer. Thinking .300blk.
Help me put together an upper, OB, please... or if there is a decent deal on an assembled, that would work as well. Not trying to throw a bunch of money on the build, but dont mind some quality parts

No way to even begin without some idea of your budget for the upper.
ETA: I take it back - Aero Precision has a 16" upper for $460. Throw in the BCG and sights/optics of your choice. I'm not saying I would buy that today for your application, but that would be a good starting point.

That's not stingy for an upper - see if Prop will build you one.
If not, look at the Aero Precision 16" upper. I'm partial to BCM for parts now (except handguards), so I would throw in one of their BCGs and call it a rifle. But I'm lazy.

You have to pick a side. I picked MLOK. To be honest, I'm old-fashioned. I don't like the rigid, squared off hand guards from anyone. But, I'm going with MLOK and despite my affinity for BCM, that leaves them out in that regard.

Yes this gun might have a suppressor as well, but more for per round price/availability.
I'd like to sling some lead at the range every now and then as well. Can find deals on .300 here and there, I dont seem to see 6.8 that much

Thanks. It's an old Bushmaster National Match. I need to probably get it rebarrelled soon. It shoots really well though.
