Gotta count the FFL too. For some, thats a higher cost than others.

The FFL I'm shipping the Brownell's lower to is charging 50 friggin bucks for the transfer fee.

The only other place close by I'm not going to use. I walked into that "gun store" when i was home last time. The guy behind the counter was trying to glue a piece back onto a Friends of the NRA statue that was made in Taiwan, and had glued his finger onto the damn statue. They had about 4 new guns and maybe 10 used guns. I'm limited on the places to ship FFL items.

FFL charge you for each transaction or each piece? If I order 10 lowers, they'll only charge one fee normally?

According to this thread on ar15.com, the main difference is that billet lowers are easier to make fully ambi, but forged are stronger.

I like how billets come with trigger guard. No chance of breaking ears when installing trigger guard.
