I'll give you a report this afternoon if I don't drown or sink from the rain...

Thanks, I'm in NOLa about to get dumped on. It's headed south so keep an eye on it.
Probably let it go by and go on down to dump stuff off if nothing else.

Sitting at the camp in coco now.. It was windy and rough this morning before the storms rolled in about 10. Looks like the weather maybe starting to move south... Just need wind to cooperate after the storms are gone

After the storm yesterday we only picked up a few. This am was calm and we got about 30 on topwater before 9 near Lake Pelto.

Heading down tonight and goin for reds tomorrow with cocomo and blades. My brand new gps crapped out so I've got to send it back and I don't feel comfortable heading to coast without one.

Sharks are hitting everything but topwater, so far. Bring extra tackle if you fish under a cork.
Good luck.

This morning was almost worse than terrible, tons of small fish out there, only a handful of keeper specs, and got drenched once we got back into petit caillou. If this rain ever stops we may try heading out this afternoon.

Went yesterday morning and my dad put his rod down with a live croaker on to answer his cell phone. His rod and reel went in like an Olympic dive with no splash it was hit so hard.

The best part was that his girlfriend caught the rod and reel 30 minutes later, but no fish. Probably a shark, it was hit so hard.

We got run off by thunderstorms with lightning late morning. I managed 10 trout on topwater between Barre and Pelto. Dad had 4, 2 on top. Decent size. Had a whole flock of seagulls pick my bait up on one cast, one at a time, until one finally got his bill hooked and I flew him like a kite.

Nothing wanted croakers, but the weather really wouldn't allow us to navigate like we wanted.

Happens to me all the time, problem is it also gets plenty of swirls/strikes.
Had a buddy lay his rod down with a jig head over the side, a shark hit it too.

The gulls have always dove down on them, but since I've been using skitterwalks, they want to eat them.

Had a buddy catch a gull and speck on a tandem rig a couple of years ago in the surf. Hit the gull mid air, and the speck hit the other one when it went down. Hell of a fight, and the speck was a keeper.
