I think they had been drinking all day and he made a comment that seemed to say something to the effect that if we had planted sunflowers then he would be ok with it.

Also, the guy who planted the wheat just threw out seed a week ago, not really growing any. He is under the impression this is legal but I honestly have not checked.

Yeah, they were banging away and having a great time and we had the occasional bird fly by. Sort of baffled about what his beef was with us. I will try to extend an olive branch and see if we can work it out. If not, then at least I tried.

Tell the guy to go pound sand or to eat shite,He’s a presumptuous a-hole.Since they hunt land they lease nobody is supposed to hunt land next door,wtf.I wouldn’t worry about trying to make nice with him.

Negative but this is obviously common practice to attract doves. Leaseholder may have been pissed y’all weren’t using normal agricultural process to get birds. Either way screw em it’s your land. Just be aware your field won’t be considered legal if green jeans comes calling.

As I stated before, this is likely the issue. You can get ticketed for hunting in the flyway of a baited field if you know about it. They probably knew it was baited and they can then get in trouble for it.
