Is there a three day large game license or something similar for non-residents to deer hunt in Texas? Or is the $315 non-resident license for the entire deer season the only option for non residents?

Nope, there is nothing for non-resident hunters outside of the $315 year long that allows you to hunt whitetail.

There is a $53 to $55 special 5 day hunt that allows you to predator, hog, bird and exotic hunt.

Nope. Have to pay $315 as an out of state resident. I have been paying it for ~10 years now

Pretty sure the Walmart employees in Uvalde know me by name when I walk in to the sporting goods section on my way to Del Rio every year

TX DV LICENSE

Just a heads up, Texas gives a free Sportsman’s Hunting/Fishing license to anyone, resident or not, if a vet with 50% plus disabled.

I think in 2017 or so I had a ridiculous encounter at a liquor store in three rivers, TX while trying to buy a license and a bottle of bourbon. I had a customer cussing me out for coming into their state to kill all their deer, dude ended up screaming at me and an off duty deputy saw what was going on and ended up stepping in. The crazy dude ended up getting arrested because he was conceal carrying. Everyone else was super kind and apologetic. When I told my Texas buddies they all asked why I wasn't buying them online so that's all I do now.
