just been glancing at a few...off the top of my head, the springfield range officer (i think thats it) stuck out to me...but i really don't know much about the 1911s

right now, I am sittin around 750 or so...still need a couple of things to get it where I want...maybe couple hundred more, give or take

Definitely a solid choice. If you want a good entry level 1911, Springfield makes quite a few. The new Ruger SR1911 is also a sweetheart. I'll also throw Kimber and S&W on that list too, but that's when you start getting a bit up in price.

I will tell you this though, once you buy one, you're gonna stare at it and sleep with it for days.

Nice looking AR! I'm probably gonna add the dark earth accessories to mine also. Mark's Armory is where I purchased my lower couple weeks ago. Good people to deal with.
