Is it ok to drive it around constantly in 4wd? Or should I mainly use 2wd and switch it when I need the 4 wheel?
TIA
TIA

I drive around in 1 wheel drive. Only use 2 and 4 as needed.

I only use four wheel drive when I think I’m going to need it. Do not decide to put in four wheel drive after you’re stuck. Then it’s too late lol

Short answer, unless you’re on pavement it won’t hurt anything to stay in 4wd, but it will feel a little more sluggish and low geared.

Some polaris models have turf mode. Turf mode is cool and drives GREAT. That's 1 wheel drive. That's great for yard driving or road driving. Not good on uneven surfaces. If you explode that part for turf mode it's gonna be pretty pricey to repair. Believe me, it can break. But even in turf mode you'd be shocked af what it can do.
Leave in 2 wheel drive for normal trail riding. The trail can also be wet. 4 wheel drive as needed. Which probably wont be often, unless you're young and having more fun than you should
. But be sure to engage it a few times a year regardless.
I wouldn't drive around in 4wd all the time because it's slightly harder on it. It's also less fuel efficient. As others have said, don't engage 4wd on pavement.

Better handling in 2wd. Less wear on cv axles. Doesn't tear up yards and trails as bad in 2wd.

Why in the hell would you want to ride around with your sxs constantly in 4-wheel drive?

It’s also not going to steer well driving around in 4wd.

I want a side by side for duck season, but just can’t justify the cost because I’ve got no use for it the rest of the year.

Buy a Suzuki Sidekick. 4x4, four doors, heat. Put in lift and take doors off. You are in business.

Pretty common for sport tuned sxs for the traction in high speed turns. A lot of them nowadays, and Polaris especially, aren’t true full time 4wd and only engage the front of the rear slips. No good reason to ever turn it off if there’s a chance you’ll need it.
