Just bought a 2021 Rancher 420 4x4 foot shift from Bayou Powersports in Monroe. $6499 before tax. I called Brookhaven and Great River and they both had the same bike for over $7000. Someone told me that if you bought in Mississippi you didn’t have to pay state tax. That was a lie because both places told me by law they had to apply Louisiana state sales tax to the purchase.

If you finance they have to. If you pay cash they don't.

They are obligated to secure the lien (title the vehicle) if you finance.

You bastard....got me looking at the Pioneer 520. I loved my Rhino, but the captain chairs don't do well when me, wife, and the 3 year old want to ride around. Sold it and got my Samurai. That Pioneer HAS to ride better than the Sammi!

If you're set on a better ride for 5 people... You're gonna spend A LOT.

I can't even drive a samurai without an auto conversion.

My knee won't fit between the wheel and the door when shifting.

Should I be looking at retail + destination and whatever other charges + ttl? Just trying to understand any unknown charges I may be liable for and what may/may not be negotiable...of course I know it depends on if anything is in stock... Just sold my 06 foreman, so I'll need a new one soon.... also figuring the price won't be coming down anytime before hunting season lol

The guys here where I go in Oklahoma don't do destination charges and all of that crap. I don't pay taxes on ATVs because of farm tax card. I register it and get a sticker for next to nothing.

But man, I bought an ATV a few months ago and if I had to pay taxes, and all kinds of fees then it would have been well over MSRP out the door.

Msrp, title fees to state of Louisiana. Taxes based of where you live.

Screw that other bs.

Hell screw buying right now at all

Called my buddy about a ranger 6 seater.

Was told... 6 weeks if you preorder and msrp.

Fuuuuuuck that. I'm too cheap for that.

Wish I had the option to wait. But will need one for hunting season and pretty sure the prices wont be dropping in the meantime. Hell I'm even contemplating buying out of state so I dont have to pay taxes and save some money lmao
