Canik USA recently unveiled their new micro-compact pistol, the Canik METE MC9, which makes it the smallest gun in the Canik lineup. The new Canik METE MC9 is slightly smaller compared to the sub-compact, the TP9 Elite SC, with the MC9’s 3.18-inch barrel, 1.12-inch width, and a reduced overall profile. The MC9 comes with both a 12-round and 15-round magazine, which are compatible with the SC mags. The Canik METE MC9 also features an ambidextrous slide stop, and is optics-ready with a Shield footprint.

The Canik Mete MC9 is chambered in 9×19 mm with a capacity of 12+1 and 15+1 (both magazine options included in the standard packaging). The MC9 supports an overall length of 6.1 inches, a width of just 1.12 inches, a height of 4.52 inches (with magazine), a barrel length of 3.18 inches, and an unloaded weight of a mere 21.2 ounces. The Mete MC9 comes optics ready with 100% co-witness capability. Each Mete MC9 comes in a hard case and includes the two magazines, an inside the waistband holster, 3 sized backstraps, tool kit and punch, speed loader, pinky rest, and cleaning kit. The Mete MC9 will be initially offered in black, flat dark earth (FDE), and two tone black/fde.

Don't these caniks break like Taurus?

The Tarus G3 series are great guns.

Especially under $300.

I've shot one and recommended them to several people who bought both the 3G and 3GCs

They have been great.

This Canik looks nice as well. Never shot one.

Nope, they are solid. Wife needs a 9mm and she likes my TP9SF, but wants a smaller one to carry. Gonna look for this.

Micro-compact handguns don't feel comfortable in my bulky hands, but I know many who love them. I'm glad Canik is producing them. I love my TP9SF 9mm. Canik makes outstanding firearms, and their triggers are by far my favorite of any handguns I own or have fired over the passed 10-15 years.

Good, bc the TP9 Elite SC is a subcompact in name only. I have one and rarely carry it bc it’s too bulky and heavy. Great shooter though.

Not enough of a difference between it and the TP9 SC to make me go buy one.
