New Brownell's BRN-180 looks interesting

New short stroke piston design based on the AR-180. The cool part is that, unlike the original stamped receiver, it's machined aluminum and fits on to any AR lower. Plus, since there's no need for a traditional buffer setup, you can have a folding stock. Curious to see what the consensus is on these when they start shipping.

I am curious about it. I had thought about adding a 223 Wylde to the collection.

I'm anxious to see how it performs after someone runs a couple thousand rounds through it. Also interested in how much it weighs.

Neat little adaptation of an old Armalite design that's compatible with a standard AR

I’ve seen some guys who grip the magwell that would get torn up by that reciprocating charging handle .
Definitely looks interesting though. I’d like to see how it holds up long term with a high round count.

That did cross my mind when I first saw it
I think I saw an interview with a Brownells rep that said they were looking into different charging handle designs.
