It is their obligation to provide a boat in the same condition as to which you bought it.

Push them for the new boat, or 100% of your purchase price plus any enhancements you made to the boat.

There are plenty other boats manufacturers out there that would love your business.

I have had 2 new boats that had repairs done. Both were repaired by mfg and both had fading issues in those spots 5-7 years after repair. I would prefer a good repair shop do the repairs vs a manufacturer due to the fact that the building of a boat in a mold and repairing outside in are 2 different skills and processes. I'd at a minimum get a lifetime or 10-20 year cosmetic warranty on the repaired area.

Cut hole, install Seadeck. Make them cover the cost of the Seadeck..

Nothing short of a new boat is acceptable. They could be bought out or go out of business in the future, and you have no warranty coverage for the repairs. New boat or refund is your main options.

They wont be able to match the diamond plate perfectly, that pattern is made from when the pull the liner from the mold. I would tell them to cut out the tank, make all the repairs and install sea deck to cover the repairs. Also, when the sea deck wears our or needs repair I want the sea deck replaced at no cost to me, as long as I own the boat.

IMHO if he gives them the option of cutting out the tank and covering the repair with SeaDeck they’ll do a crappy job repairing the access area depending on the SeaDek to hide it.

They very likely won’t warranty the SeaDek except for the minimum amount of time, so if it starts peeling up the repair shows.

I’d be insisting on a new boat or a buyback.
