I bought a dozen of their mallards this year and loved them. They held up great. At some point I want to try Dakota's to compare the two, but I have no complaints about the Avian's. Looks like they're coming out with some new decoys this year, I can't wait to see these.

Pro grade paint does not hold up well at all. But they are damn fine decoys. Look really similar to these IMO

I have a half dozen Dakotas, and they do sit pretty in the water

Some people have good success with the inflatables because theyre shinier and have more movement

I bought a half dozen of these before the season, and mine also held up great. I'll get another half dozen before the next season.

Ghg paint chips bad. Look awesome though out the box.

Tanglefree worst decoy ever. And i mean ever. 1 week and sun burnt paint falls off.

Hot buy mallards have held up well for me in very rough beatings.

Got the academy carvers edge to try this year. Im always surprised by academy stuff

G&H are as good as it gets

A plastic bottle will do the trick when the conditions are right ( and yes, I too have wasted a bunch of money on decoys through the years).

When conditions are right, you can stand in the middle
Of a bunch of floating terds and kill ducks.
Had a few hunts like this.

Almost every decoy of mine is now painted like a coot. Probably have 50 coot decoys and a handful of grays and teal. No need for high dollar dekes.

Went to Catahoula this year and ducks sucked into clorox jugs and 2 liters painted black or half black. I don't think decoys make a ton of difference. Staying concealed is the key IMO.
