Sister Lake Tide Gauge. Lilly/Ike/Rita was around 6ft so you can watch the level down there throughout.

Good luck everybody, it's not bad in Lafayette yet

WWL's guy that was in cocodrie last night just did a segment from chauvin behind the little caillou fire station (i built dat and it's still up!). There was some damage but it looked like stuff you'd expect (tin roof off of pavilion, flipped over fair type booth). He said "this is what people in terrebonne parish can expect to wake up to. not so much structural damage..."

pretty much. It's hard to find info on specific locales at this time. TD is probably the best source.

I'm in Thibodaux. Almost in the eye... wind switching from the north to the west.

So it sounds like this storm isn't exactly pushing a whole bunch of water inland yet, right?

Spoke to the future in-laws this morning, they live off Bayou Black & Buena Vista. They lost electricity, only damage is a screen on the back porch.

I think because we're on the west, the north winds are pushing water out and holding the surge at bay.

Didn't see anything on Cocodrie after a quick scan, so.....
Around Hwy 56/57 junction (Cecil's) got reports the water didn't get high at all. Wind damage wasn't bad either, at least not to those near us.
Good news right there.
ETA: no power as of 9 this AM.
