It's been said on here before but for the price it's hard to beat the academy brand especially if you catch them on sale

i've quit buying high-dollar waders
an $80 pair of game winners at academy will last 3-4 years, then get new ones

Magellan Outdoors Men's Hybrid 800 Wader
Will be $129.99 for BF

those are nice but i HATE the velcro suspenders...they get gummed up with feathers and shite and eventually stop working

the cheap elastic suspenders with snap buckles work so much better

Stay away from Banded waders!! They may be comfortable, but they will leak. Everyone I know that has owned a pair have complained of leaks, especially the breathables.

I'm probably the anomaly here but I'm going on my 5th season with my Drake Equader LST. Only drake item I've owned to actually be waterproof.

Anyone have experience with the Rogers Elite 3in1 Insulated Breathable Waders? I like the idea of being able to unzip the insulation for early season teal hunts or having heavy insulation for later in the season.

I actually may go with these. They are pretty much the same but 1200g boot instead of 1600g. Don't think I'll need the 1600 and I'll save $50.

I bought LL Bean breathables last year. Boots are a little heavy but I like them so far. I bought them because they have a lifetime warranty no questions asked. Not sure if that’s still the case.

I prefer athletic/slimmer fitting waders. I tried the Game Winner breathables on, but the belt didn’t tighten enough for me. I don’t have that issue with the LL Beans. I’ve tried on the Sitka waders and they are incredible. I’d love to have a pair of the zip up ones. It would make for super easy layering and they also have a lifetime warranty. I just won’t be buying them now because I bought the Beans before the Sitka ones came out, and they’re way too expensive to buy just because I want to.

Bean does a lot of sales and I got mine for like $200.

Haven’t seen anybody mention them, but a buddy got me a screaming good deal on a pair of Gator Waders and I’ve been nothing but impressed with them so far.

+1 for gator waders

Have the breathable waist high model, very tough so far and the pockets are handy as hell.

I agree with the previous statement about banded. Bought several for my sons and I, all leaked. Returned and traded for Sitka. Ridiculous price, obscene actually, but the zip ones are really nice. Only used them a couple of times soo far. I’ll give a report later after season.

Buy whatever if you only use them 2-3 times a year. I’ve got a Drake breatheable pair I keep at home in LA and the LST for up here in Maryland/Delaware hunting.

When the LST’s go out I’m getting Sitka waders
