Not really. It is just something to help me out when I feel good enough to get out. That is why it is taking me so long building this camp/guess house.

Small projects I take on are due to the weather. It's so wet, muddy around now.

I will be starting a medicine cabinet to match the vanity maybe this weekend. Still waiting on some planner blades to come it.

Got a little work done in the camp. Had to remove the wood stove to install some fire bricks under for the base. These fire bricks are well over 100 years old that came from a house tear down. There is a ledge up front to keep anything from rolling out on the floor.

Second project was to change out the back door. The old door was something I had on hand and just threw in place. It wasn't the right swing. Bad thing, I didn't have any shims on hand and I couldn't finish. I will cut some the first thing in the morning. I kind of ran out of gas being on my knees the better part of the morning. Will finish it tomorrow, then back on siding if I'm up to it.

Finally built a Cowboy cooler. I used treated wood for the frame and #1 cedar fence boards for the outside. Cost right at $125 in materials. I'm going to put it on Facebook to see if I can sell it.

I think I'm going to build another out of new pine and distress the wood using the vinegar/ steel wool method.

Nicely done.

How did you put it together? Dowels?

The backing is tongue and groove bead board. The 8 inch face boards i used bisquits. And just glued/nailed the trim boards in the center.

I need to get me a dowel setup.

I bought an el cheapo one from Harbor Freight that works well, but man you have to be very precise when marking and drilling. Takes a little practice, but makes a very strong connection.

Did you buy a pocket hole jig yet? If not, I highly recommend the one from Harbor Freight. It's made out of sturdy aluminum instead of plastic like the Kreg jig. Lots of reviewers prefer it over the Kreg. I mounted mine on a piece of 1x6 wood to make it more stable.

Kreg Jig is the truth... Few of my recent projects.

Bed for the dog

Laundry room makeover, top is stained cedar 1x12. Didn't take a before pic, but it was nothing more than the washer and dryer.

Pine Farmhouse table I'm in the middle of... Not quite sure how I'll finish it color wise. Thinking dark top, painted/distressed legs

Love the washer/dryer idea, looks awesome and a neat way to spruce up an otherwise dull room

Yeah i've already got the kreg jig mini, it gets me by, but i'd like to have the HF one of the regular size Kreg jig.

Awesome builds man. On the table, are those pedestals pretty sturdy without any kind of braces?

Table has 0 wiggle... Ill take a pic underneath tonight, theres 2x6 bracing just like the footings. Legs are shaped as a capitol i, if that makes any sense.

I still may add some x-bracing, only because I like the look.

Home Depot

I find their wood is much better than Lowes quality wise... If you can find a straight 1x6 whitewood in Lowes, you'll be the first.

I usually stick with yellow pine if staining, it seems to come out a bit darker and has better tones. If i'm painting, i go with WW.

Not wood, but metal. Built a trailer for my sawmill. Still have a couple things to do on it before painting it. Hope to rap this up in the next few days. I am in need of lumber for the front porch on the camp.

This is the latest thing I've been working on. This is about two months worth of work. Built the patio and am working on the fireplace.

The picture is the internal kit that I bought. Will brick it up starting soon.

Fish that reminds me of a question I meant to ask you.

My cousin just bought a mill and is playing around a bit. He offered me some freshly cut oak.

How long does it need to dry out before working with it? And what's that process like?

Needs to be stickers and stacked. If there isn't good ventilation it can take a very long time.

We talking months?

I wish I had somewhere to do such a thing. Would love a cheap lumber supply lol.
