More pics and details when I get off the road. fricking stoked!

So I left way too early. Was in the stand @ 4:30-4:45. Couldn't find the keys so I walked about 1 1/4 miles to the blind like an idiot Didn't bring a 4 wheeler bc I was thinking " if I see anything at all, it will be a small doe and I'll just tote that bitch.

When the sun came up I put my phone down bc I wasn't missing anything that came out there. Made my routine scan @ around 7:30. Looked behind me about 80 yards at what I thought was a big doe eating eating in the middle of the trail behind me. Ducked down on my hands and knees didn't want to make a lot of racket/movement since the gun was behind me. Put my scope on him and noticed he was a buck though I didn't count or anything.

Shot and he ran to the right. I was told to stay in the Stand an finish the hunt but I knew I hit him and wanted to finish him off if he was close. went over and didn't see him. Scope the blind to see if I had went far enough. I hadn't. When I went far enough to where my scope matched the distance I had shot. I looked to the right and saw him there about 5-10 yards from where I hit him. Glad too bc he didn't bleed until I started dragging him out. There was no way I would have found him if he had went and extra 30-50 yards since there was no blood.

Being that I left the truck at the gate and had no quad, I walked back to the truck and was scattering through the straw to find the key. Got it. Pulled it back to where I drug him out.

Now how the frick am I getting this fricker in the truck? Drug him slowly through the trails until I got to the camp site. Put him on top of a small hill an backed the truck to it and pulled him in.

Not much of a :CBS: but I'll never forget those boring details.

Looks like about a 15-16" inside spread 8pt. Probably scores around 100-110

ETA: Damn good for a first deer. Hell my all time biggest isn't that much larger

Looks like an 8 point, but he's got his rifle all up in it and it's blurry.

Took me somewhere around 7 years of hunting to kill a buck. This guy is spoile rotten already.

Or do like me, and shoot a button buck for a doe and proceed to pass on 2 more does that hunt

That was my second hunt ever and I've never again seen as many deer in a single hunt as I did then.
