My Costa Del Mar (Prescription Glasses) Review

Well I pulled the trigger a few weeks ago and bought a pair of Costa RX Glasses, I went with the Harpoon Frames 580 Glass / Green Mirror.
I have gone thru 2 other pair of RX sunglasses and I have never been satified with them so I went ahead and spent the money on a pair of RX sunglasses that were made by a sunglass maker.
I have had them for a few days, delivery took about 2.5 weeks from when I placed my order only negative about the whole deal.
So far nothing but positives can be said. I really think the lens are a better quality than whats in my current eye glasses.
I really like how the green mirrror keeps things bright so i can easily go from outside to inside without having to take my glasses off because its to dark and put my eyeglasses back on which is a big plus for me.
Looking forward to using them on the water as well during hunting season, I think the green lens will be really nice during bow season and low light conditions.
Fit and finish of the glasses is very good, they aren't cheap but most RX glasses aren't anyway so a little more money got me a really nice pair of glasses.
So i guess to sum it up if you are in the market for a pair of RX sunglasses I would highly recommend the Costa Del Mars.

Fwiw, you are looking through a copper lens, not a green lens.

Has anyone ever spent a lot on shades & reported that they didn't like them?

Yeap I have, as stated I have had two other pair of rx shades that I did not like, and they weren't cheap.

I'm about to buy my second pair pretty soon. Going with tortoise and green mirror, just can't decide between brine or harpoon frames.

That price is for all the bells and whistles...

My prescription Mauis were a little over 400. The people I talked to said Costa's lenses didn't come from their lab. That they wouldn't be their (costas) lenses. Guess they were full of shite?
