put mine on a moving blanket and slid it across my hardwood floors to the spot where it now sits. Wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be.

We used a movers dolly when I moved mine to a storage unit. We are building a house now and it's on a raised foundation . I think I will pay a couple movers to do it this time. It's a 840# and a nut buster. The couple hundred will be money well spent.

I have moved 3 of them.
Took the doors off of everyone of them first. Used dowels once...the other two I nutted up on a dolley and wheeled them in near location. Put it on a blanket and slid into exact location from there.
The last one we placed in a carpetted closet. once in place as far as dolley would go, we couldnt really slide it in fear of ripping carpet. So we walked it in corner to corner. Slid the last 6 inches or so.
When sliding it, this goes without mentioning, much easier to lay on the floor and push it like you are doing leg presses against it. Lower the easier.
All times it was my father and I moving them, he has parkinsons so is very limited. I never felt it was beyond my ability and needed to hire someone.

I used a pool table dolly.
Thankfully, I have buddy who works for a gaming business with a big dolly and a tommy lift on their work truck.
