Been fishing Ande 12# for years with a 17# fluorocarb leader. use it on both my spinning and baitcasting reels. I've landed a number of reds 25# and up with no problem.I have a buddy who only fishes spinning reels spooled with 25# braid and he can cast a mile. I've been considering spooling 8 of my reels with braid but I don't know if I could approved for a loan that big.

I use P-Line 10# Flourocarbon with a 20# Seaguar Flouro leader. No swivels. It's tough line. Light enough for specs and tough enough for bull reds. The bad thing about Flourocarbon is if you get a 20# bull red or Jack, the line is shot and needs to be replaced. It stretches and doesn't spring back like mono. I like the line and have been using it for years.
