Carry four rods at a time, all with braid. Got a flours leader on one but I don't like it. Braid to a swivel on the other three. Doesn't break.

Started with braid ..even fished tourneys....didn't get the bites i get with mono. Use mono almost all the time now ..Berkeley Big Game 12# Green ...caught many reds over 10# with it. Just can't horse them..Also when you snag and pop your line pull out about 10 feet and throw it ..it's stretched. Use braid for reds over 20# and on my frogs.
Have caught thousands of fish with that mono.. Bass, reds, trout, flounder etc..

Strictly 30# power pro for me

ETA: most saltwater specks with the occasional big reds.

This is me as well.

Fished Mono all my life until I used power pro super slick with a guide last year. Changed my life

Are any of you braid users running a mono or fluoro leader?

Run braid with a good length top shot on all my big rods, braid with top shot/leader on inshore stuff. Basically the same just much shorter on the small stuff. Learn to tie a uni knot and you will love this setup IMHO

I use mono - fluro and braid...depends on what I'm casting and the situation...
