Out of Atv/utv.

I leave my Ranger at the camp for a few months at a time. Stored in a barn with dirt floors. Last couple of times I've found nests under seat and near front battery terminal. Is there anything you can put out to keep those little bastards away?

Leave the seat up and hood open. The like to build nest in inclosed places. Also, lots and lots of rat poison. I do not remember the name of it, but they make a liquid poison that you put in a water bowl that lasts a while. It works great in the summer, when there is little water elsewhere.

Supposedly mint oil will keep them out of equipment. I’ve never tried it but it’s cheap and worth a shot. We use dryer sheets at the camp to keep them out of beds and it seems to work.

Peppermint oil.I order pint bottles from Amazon, stuff cotton balls in a plastic bottle, drill a few holes and saturate cotton balls with the oil.
I have them in my boat, golf cart, tractors and under hood of my cars.
I saw that on YouTube,Mousetrap Monday. He tested Irish Spring soap, moth balls, something else I can’t remember and peppermint oil.Peppermint oil is the only thing that worked. It’s worked well for me.

Spray engine compartment and under seat with deep woods off. I had to do this with a car that was rarely driven before and the mice quit building nests after spraying with the mosquito repellent.

I would not recommend this. Anyone that’s used OFF enough has seen it damage certain things. Scope finishes, gun stocks, etc etc.

Peppermint oil works. It’s does evaporate I guess you could say over time and needs to be checked periodically.

If using poison be aware if dogs frequent the area. I lost mine last week because she got into some I wasn’t aware of.
