Maybe I'm a bit nostalgic, but I would really like to buy one. Hot item for us Army vets in the early 70's.
Anyone know of a safe & reliable source?

I have no idea about the quality but this is the one that I found when I was looking for one. I ended up not buying because I'm too cheap.

You want a real M16A1 or just an AR15?

Agreed. A true M16A1 will run you upwards of $30k.
If you’re just looking for a retro AR15 with the triangular handguard and the other stuff, I’d go with one of those Brownell’s rifles.
