Louisiana outdoors- Everyday opportunities outside of hunting and fishing

I'd like to put together a thread of outdoor opportunities in this state outside of hunting and fishing. I truly envy other states with milder summers, the ability to ski, hike and see beautiful landscapes, bike down mountains etc. I don't have to be killing something to enjoy being outside, and my wife and girls are not hunters at all. I'd like to get them out with us for a change for our adventures.
Outside of hunting and fishing what do we really have here for outdoor recreation?

There is some hiking to be had. Bogue Chitto is a nice little 6 mile hike. For the NOLA folks, NORCO has a nice little trail (super flat, and watch out for snakes/Gators) over by Bonne Carre. BREC has two halfway decent trails in BR, both right off Hooper Road. Fair warning, I've seen multiple copperheads at the Hooper Road Brec trail.
Chicot State Park and The Wild Azelea Trail are both multiple day options for longer hikes.

I'm assuming you're asking for the sake of asking and not because you actually believe hunting and fishing are the only outdoor activities in this state.
There are nature trails all across the state.
Kisatchie is hundreds of thousands of acres that you can hike, camp, horseback ride, bike, off-road, etc.
Canoing/Kayaking on any of our hundreds of miles of bayous.
Camping on many of our WMAs and State Parks.
Chicot State Park and the Louisiana State Arboretum.

Camping, hiking, biking, walking, wildlife watching, boating, sailing, wakeboarding, water skiing, scuba diving, motor track racing, horseback riding, 4wheeler riding/quads, motorcycle riding, 4x4 riding (we do have places to rock crawl with large hills), searching for artifacts and pretty much everything else that doesn’t involve mountains.

The problem isn't lack of activities. It's the ever abundant temperature

Surfing the Louisiana Coast line during the winter is pretty fun. Also the Kite Surfing scene in Bucktown on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain is pretty big when the wind kicks up.
