I've been hunting old free Delta Waterfowl jacket with an outer waterproof layer for like 8 years now. Killed a lot of ducks. I really don't get the craze for expensive Camo jackets. I could understand the waders as you want them to not leak, but even then any Camo pattern will be fine, but spending hundreds on a jacket?

Yes, because just like my waders, I also don't want my jacket to leak.
I've got 35 min boat ride each way to the marsh lease, and typically one of the two rides will be into the wind. Add in rain, not much fun.

Helly or grundens are water and wind proof. Not camo but they have some brown or marsh green options.

Saw the Grundens Goretex at ascension outdoors today, jacket was 499.99. I put one on layaway.
