One thing I’ve learned in training dogs is that geography should not be a determining factor in purchasing a multi thousand dollar animal that you intend to live with for the next decade and a half.
If the best breeder for your needs is in Florida then that’s where I would suggest going.

Got ours from Red Creek Kennels in Pollock, TX. She’s a fireball of energy, very smart, and extremely sweet. Family pet, not formally retriever trained, but she has a strong drive to go get a tennis ball and would probably be a good hunting partner if trained right.
