My lifetime hunting license has only my social security number on it and also a bunch of zeros...

I am not too comfortable with it showing my SSN and would like to have another number to give/show when needed...

do most of these have an actual license number on them?....

I got mine a couple years ago. I have some random number. My SSN isn't anywhere on the card.

Mine has my Hunters Ed ID number and another number. Got mine in 2000 at 13yo though.

interesting...mine was issued in the mid 90's...

so, apparently all of the very early versions used the ssn as the license number...

at least I know I haven't been hunting with a bugus license for the last twenty years...

I just looked at mine and it only has 1 number under my name. I got it in 1994 I think.

An agent told me that if you were born before the Hunter Ed requirement, you get the zeros. Younger licensees have their hunter ed #s.

My Louisiana Lifetime Hunting/Fishing Combo License has my hunter's education number and another 9 digit number, which I assume is my LL number.

ETA: My SSN is NOT on my card.

ETA2: I live in Houston now, I'm glad I have my LA LL!
