What ever's left of Philo Brice and Northwest Island.

Northwest Island is a sunken oyster reef now. As for Philo Brice, there used to be that nice reef to the northeast of it that was marked with poles, but if you run over there looking for it and the poles are gone, you may need to have some fiberglass work done.

I will be in Leeville this weekend for the first time. Anybody have any advice? What general area (not your spot) should I fish? What are they hitting on down there?

Duck lease and house boat is out in those parts. The grave yard is good. Not as bad as some made it out to be. Not hard too find, go to Bobby Lynns and ask or get a map. We fish a lot of the oyster reefs and dams and do real good with the specks. Nice grilling reds up in the shallow duck ponds. If you can make it, go down to the island and hit the beaches in between the rocks on the east end of the island. The locals have been destroying them the past few weeks. Bait- crokers on the beach. Shrimp in the marsh. Artifical, meh..give it a shot you never know what color beatles the specks will hit on a given day so bring a varity. Good luck.
