Leeville area fishing advice

I will be in Leeville this weekend for the first time. Anybody have any advice? What general area (not your spot) should I fish? What are they hitting on down there?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

What type of boat will you be in? The trout should be hitting around the reefs/islands in the Lake Raccourci area. Also, you can pretty much hit the reefs on Bayou Blue any time of year and find some reds. Just find a shell bank with moving water and run some cocahoes past it.

Lake jesse has been on fire lately. The graveyard is always a good spot too, just have to be very careful.

Thanks, I will be in a 21 ft. bay boat.
Is there a map that shows where this is?

If you don't know, you probably shouldn't try to find it. Not sure how it is since the storms/bypass/removal of the old boats, but it used to be tricky to find and you could strand yourself in some shallows on the way.

I have heard navigating the area isn't a walk in the park if you have no experience with the area, so I will probably steer clear of that place. But thanks anyway! I may see if any of the other guys I will be down there with are familiar with it.

It's not that bad. You can get to it without an issue. I'm looking for a map, but if I can't find one, ask terry at Terry's bait shop, he can tell you exactly how to get there, and if its even worth goin to.

Are you going to be on the East Side or West Side of Bayou Lafourche?

No, there is actually an old abandoned cemetery on that point, but that's not the "boat graveyard." The graveyard is actually not too far from the new bypass on the east side of Lafourche. That broken marsh has all but disappeared around it in recent years, so it may be easier to get to, but I fish more offshore or that one canal that we got "permission" to use (not Tidewater). If you see goats, you're close.

At the end where the barges are sunk, there is a deep hole that tends to stack up with trout.

He's gonna be on the east side. He doesn't have a clue what he's doing. My team is probably gonna have to go get them at some point to lead them back to the camp.

Where is the camp? South of Leeville, you can chase tails in Grey's Canal.

Staying at Boudreaux's waterfront motel if that tells you anything

I may not have a clue where I'm going, but this most certainly will not be my time fishing salt water. Grew up fishing Big Lake

Now this is possible! The guy drivin our boat has been the last few years, so hopefully not though.
Have fun at your daughters graduation. Too bad you won't be there this year, but maybe next year we'll have a chance to have a few beers while you tell me about the golden years gramps
No, but really. Congratulations to your daughter!

Sounds like East Side. The West Side may be easier to Navigate. This time of the year, I'd maybe try Fornation (or fornication as I like to call them) Islands. What ever's left of Philo Brice and Northwest Island. Go through Little Lake and out into Timbalier Bay, You're right there.

I don't know that they have a good GPS. But it can be done. They just have to know what they are doing.
