I have a Craftsman zero turn with a Briggs engine. Engine runs fine and the PTO engages but after a few minutes of mowing the PTO shuts down and won’t restart. The battery is fully charged so that doesn’t appear to be the issue. I don’t know what else to do. Can anyone recommend a repair man to fix this issue. TIA.

How much is a carb on Amazon?

Port Vincent farm and supply - Vince
Ike’s over in Prairieville
Sometimes on these units if the battery is low it can cause this. If you said you charged the battery and it holding a charge then rule that out.
FYI - sounds like the clutch is bad or pto engagement switch.

I replaced the carb last year. When the carb was bad the engine would lose power but not shut down, meaning it would still run and cut but sluggishly.

If the PTO switch was bad, would it engage initially and then cut off or would it not work at all?
Also, how hard is it to replace the clutch?

Ike's fix it shop in Prairieville off Hwy 73. Took something there a few years back. It was $35 to look at it but the $35 goes toward the final price in whatever repairs they have to do to it.

hutch's hardware on 621 does repairs. i had a bad experience with Ike's. he told me a pressure washer was not repairable and kept it dis assembled for months. i ended up having to go find it and take it home in pieces but he did not charge me. i fixed it myself and still have it.

Yeah they had some bad switches a few years back. We replaced a few under warranty and did what you are saying. Again, without going through checks on the unit it is hard to say it is this or that.
If that unit has electric clutch under rear pulley where belt goes to the deck. Clutch is in the $350 give or take a few bucks either way ballpark.
Not hard disconnect electrical to it and few bolts.
I would check other things before replacing the clutch you may not need to replace.
