I like my Lews and my Abu Garcia a lot, so I'm gonna keep an eye out for those two brands for now.

Yall ever use calcutta reels for bass? I hear those are nice, too.

Yes,

I'd have two 200 and two 250 Calcutta's on All Star rods.

X2 for the Curado. I also have a Citica and honestly, there isn't much difference.

The gen4 SX looks legit. I almost bought that one for my new frog rod. I think that sucker has 24 lbs max drag. Which is kinda overkill.

I went with the BB1 Pro cause it comes in a higher gear ratio and is lighter. But that gen4 SX looks bad arse.

What you wanna know? It's $2 to launch a yak. The boulevard is usually good for at least a couple bass and is my go-to bream spot in spring and summer. Depending on how far you are willing to paddle, the willow mounds and dog leg aren't too far.

In the water

I've caught plenty of fish all around the landing. They may be there, they may not be. That's just how Henderson is. Good luck

Most of the bream I've caught have been in the Boulevard. I haven't caught many bass south of I-10 other than the dogleg, but that's mainly because I typically fish north of I-10. I've only bass fished south of I-10 maybe twice. I've been meaning to venture out more into the south. But every time I go, I start north because either I caught there last time, or someone gave me a tip. And I always say if I don't get any bites, I'm going south. But I usually end up getting just enough bites to keep me from leaving the area.

I'd also like using my dad's old Ambassador.

Forgot to mention Toy Toy, but that is also a popular spot. But the water is getting low, so I don't know if it'll be any good right now. Same with dog leg.

What you plan on fishing for?

I have an old ambassador similar to that one, but its green. Found it in my moms attic when she moved into her new house. I forgot exactly when it was made, but its old AF. I got a guy here in Lafayette to clean it up real good and I put it on my river pole. works like a dream. Its the "D" model, forgot the number model.

Popular bream spot. It's basically just an opening in the flats. Slightly deeper. I've been in there once and caught some bream.
