I do think La. Archery tried to do too much.
Security has in fact become more reasonable on prices, but other than rods, it's as if they have given up on fishing.

I cant really talk about bows anymore, but it seems that became just another product they are carrying.

I had a couple issues with guns bought from Security, so started buying them all at La Archery, I hope someone fills the void.

is LAA owned by Bubba Cross ? I met him years ago, as I seem to recall he owned a Construction Company and opened LAA because of his passion for bowhunting. I also remember Dave Beach's Archery Shop in the "log cabin" buildings on 28E.

I'm not sure that I know of another place in the Cenla area that has the ability to carefully work on a bow like they do. I went in there prior to the season, and they tuned my bow up and refletched my arrows with no problem. Hate to see a great local hunting store go.

Mans cave in Bentley. One of la archery’s problems was they were getting a bad reputation as having an incompetent bow shop.

Many moons ago I remember when Scott was a teenager hanging out at the bow shop. Then he was in medical school at LSU-S studying orthopedics during rotations. Fast Fwd, 20 yrs and now he's a Cardiologist in GA .... My goodness how time flies.

I had friends that worked at Dave's place while we were in high school. My mom worked with Scott's mom.

Do you know what bow brands they carry?

I also received a notice that Southern Shooters in Alexandria is going out of business. They actually tried to be competitive on their prices but just can't make it. Security makes a bunch of money before Christmas by catering to women, mostly doctors wives, who go in there with an open credit card and ask for help buying hubbys Christmas gifts. Hopefully Holloway Outdoors will stay open. They're almost the last survivor in this brutal retail environment. Gonna miss La. Archery especially since they were about the only place you could find hard to locate fishing lures like V&M.

It was getting a little crowded on that side. What's the small place on 28 on the right as you head out?

Theres a archery place near ft Polk that seems to be well equoped in the archery business. I don’t bow hunt, just saying. It’s a pawn shop/hunting store. Star Pawn is the name. It’s on entrance rd.

LAA Sale is only 10% right now. Up to 50% on certain items. Nothing to get excited about yet

My peep sight popped on my bow yesterday so I went to LAA to get them to replace it. The store was packed so if you are planning on going to get something, you may not want to wait too long. Just about everything I saw was 10%. They had a few odd fishing and duck hunting things that were 40%-50%. It took me 15 minutes to get out of the parking lot because people were trying to turn across traffic on Hwy 28

I think The 10 is on everything. The only rack I saw that was 50% was a small assortment of high dollar archery sights like spot hogg and IQ.

I really don't understand why so many people are in a rush over 10%. I am waiting and decided to look elsewhere for my new bow.
