It was an emergency situation where the log truck was broke down in a bad curve on hwy 563 in Mississippi. Was afraid someone was going to come around curve and get a face full of hardwood. Driver had no flairs or triangles to set up either. Only reason i done it. But after i pulled him up all the hills , i had a cheering party when i finished.

I think they both make good 3/4 ton trucks. I went with a f250 because of all the issues I had with my chevy 1500 and poor service I got here. Personally I would go with the interior you liked the best and if a toss up go with the best price.
And for anyone saying ford sucks, the new 6.7 has been out long enough to be tested and I will put mine up against my 7.3 I still have any day. They finally matched its quality, minus all the EPA BS they all are putting on them now.

ETA: I would get the package under KR though. I hate the adobe bottom. They need to give that crap up.

The Ford has much more room on the interior.I have one now and theres more leg room compared to the GMC/Chevy crew cab.

Not a big fan of that either. I like solid colors. I love the KR interior, though.

You post in these threads whenever these trucks come up.

I am skeptical of your story.

I'm sorry you don't believe me. The problem has been well documented on the Ford Diesel forums. As a matter of fact, why don't you check out this link...

Long thread on Ford 6.7L Diesel shuttering problem.

I'm not really sure why you point this out either. I think both times I have brought this up you have had something to say. Do you work for Ford or something???

I'd give a pretty penny to see that

No, I am a car and truck guy. I am not in love with any specific marque and I call 'em like I see 'em.

I always try to learn more about issues so sometimes I question a poster's motives.

So you owned a 2012 and the dealer offered to lemon law it for you?

I am familiar with the shuddering issue:

I'm pretty sure both loosers would pay you a pretty penny to not publish your findings. Combine that with some entry fees and you'd probably be in good shape money wise.

They didn't offer to lemon law it. They said that even if they did sell me a new one it would most likely do the exact same thing. This, coupled with the fact that Ford Reps in Michigan told the tech they had no idea how to fix it and no idea how long it would be before a fix was discovered, is the ONLY reasoning for me trading it on a GM. As I stated, if it weren't for the "unrepairable" problem, I would still be driving it. No motives here other than to explain to the OP what he may experience if he were to buy a Ford 6.7L diesel truck.

Does this clear it up for you??

This really blows my mind. How has Ford not given somebody a new truck and taken their shuddering truck in order to locate and correct the problem in future trucks?

Thanks for your reply.

It is a fairly rare problem and they should have lemon-lawed it for you. My understanding was that the issue had been cured in the '12s.

The issue first showed up in the 2011s (new diesel engine design). I was not aware any 2012s had the problem.

It is rare, but it does happen. In LA, if you take a vehicle 3X and they can't fix the problem, they will (after a bit of a battle) lemon law it.

I just can't figure out for the life of me how these huge companies some how have or had vehicles with problems that re unrepairable.
