I've never owned snake boots. I would love to have a spider hat and some caterpillar sleeves though.

If I were a docotr in a small town, I would advertise I treat snake bites. Then after nightfall, I would release about 30/night around town for a month..

Profit should easily esceed $10 million

Friend was hit by a copperhead last year. He said hospital charged him $25,000 per dose of antivenin and he received 5 doses. He also stayed in the hospital for 5 days. His total was around $300k before insurance.

Ridiculous. Not sure if I would even go to the hospital if I got bite. I'd probably just take my chances even if that meant dying

The antivenom is outrageously expensive & hospitals don't keep a lot in stock.

Yeah, the anti-venom is multi thousands + a vile it's self. And that can be for common venomous snakes.

The hemotoxin in rattle snake venom could easily have cost him a foot or more if not treated properly.

In the past, working with reptiles, the baddest snake I came across was the black mamba. If untreated, it used to be a 100% mortality rate. Lucky for us in north America we don't have to have these worries, unless you live in Florida, I'd say the baddest north American snake is really the Mojave rattle snake. if you live near them, Gotta really watch out for those.

So yes, those boots are worth it.

This may be an ignorant question, but can they get through leather work boots?
