I have a diablo. And I'll be honest, I've been thinking about selling it recently. My whole fishing situation has changed since I bought it. My parents have a camp in cocodrie now and the boat is always there so it's a lot easier than it was before to go boat fishing. And since there are always people at the camp and everyone wants to go fishing, solo kayaking usually goes by the wayside. I haven't put my kayak in the water since Memorial Day.

The first two years I had it, though, I fished a bunch out of it (every weekend the first summer I had it).

Where do you draw the line between kayak and boat? I know that a kayak is a type of boat, but I almost think that these huge yaks are in a different segment than what kayaks started out to be. There are kayaks that are relatively light, easy to launch and pack around, there are these bigger kayaks that sometimes require trailers, and then there are boats.

Must be a bitch peddling through ice. I'm not doing RTB either, too much of a cluster frick last year. I will be down in the island though that weekend. Hopefully murdering some flounder. If you get down here and throw that beast in the water give me a shout.

10/4 bud.
RTB was a cluster last year. would have been much better off just fishing the marsh (the weather didn't help any)

Why was it a cluster? I am interested in knowing because I plan on participating this year. What should I expect.

Well it started Friday when I got there. $50 bucks gets your entry, shirt, and steak dinner. I pre registered a month in advance. I didn't get a steak dinner it was chicken that they were cutting in half while I saw every body and their brother who was buddies with the people get a steak dinner. Then I ordered a large shirt with my pre registration and they ran out if those too. It was suppose to be a shotgun start but that changed over night and it was just a free for all instead. Not everyone new this and by the time I got on the water fish were already on the board. IMO it was too many people last year so this year will be even more. The weather sucked too and from my experiences fishing tournaments and Grand Isle always = shitty weather.
