i mean i would buy one if they were like 2 or 3 hundo more than a normal yak, but double or tripping the price frick That. I might design a paddle wheel for mine to show you motherfrickers up.

You can regularly find Outbacks and Mariners for around $1300-1400 used, which puts it in the ballpark of the more popular paddle yaks.

This past weekend fishing Saturday with the wind ripping and having to paddle directly into the headwind to get back to the car made me wish I had pedals! But then again, most of the areas I fished were less than 1ft which would have rendered the pedals useless.

So what is the benefit of a sit on top for fishing? I have a sit in that is used 95% for just paddling, and was thinking of getting a second, which would be more used for fishing. I just assumed I would get another sit in.

Taking a wave over the side and not having to worry about swimming to shore.

If you want a cheap easy kayak to fish the marsh just get a Pelican from Academy for $300. It gets the job done and fits in the back of your truck.

That's not bad advice. If you like it and get into it you can always upgrade. I started off with a $300 boat off Craigslist and now I'm ready to upgrade.

Saw some KC kayaks at BassPro or Cabelas. Those look so nice and sturdy. Probably what I would want.

I'm considering selling my WS tarpon 140. It needs a little tlc because it's been sitting up for a few years.

i want to know what happens to the mirage system when you track in 6" of water or less? Im not trying to get in an arguement i really want to know.
you just push the pedals all the way, and clip them there. it keeps them flat up against the hull so you can get 3-4 inches of water i'd think. I've been in a hobie and couple times, and I can tell you they are nice. especially in open water and when it's windy.

The KC yaks are solid. I may sell my boat just bc I'm not using it as much and the wife wants a third kid.

is that a common debate here? From what i read in LA anything with less than 10hp doesnt have to be registered, thats why they make 9.9s which if just the 15 with s throttle stopper you can remove.

Texas is different and i think anything power driven has to be registered.

negative ghost rider. anything with a motor, including a trolling motor, must be registered and have numbers. That 9.9 stuff is for lake with 10HP limits.

I also used to think that PFDs were not necessary in paddlecrafts. Two tickets later and i know better.
