If you want to catch a shite load of fish throw a watermelon seed or red baby brush hog on a 1/16 oz weight up shallow in and around the cypress trees. In the last three weeks we've bagged 36 quarts of bass out of Toledo and 75% came on that.
Also the shad spawn is going on right now for about 30 minutes once it gets daylight. Find a good point near the main lake and throw some type of shad colored topwater and you should be able to pick up several before it ends.

I appreciate the advice. I haven't been in about three or four weeks so I haven't really kept up with the bite there. The last time I went the water was over our dock. Hopefully it has fallen some. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

It's went up in the last two weeks
but they finally opened some of the flood gates so it may drop some. It looks like they're getting a lot of rain over there today, though.

How's water look around mid lake (Patroon, San Miguel area)? Headed to Toledo for the first time this year Sunday and Monday to prefish for the Best Six tournament next weekend.

It's cleared up a lot, it's only slightly stained. A good 10-12" of visibility
